It has been a long road — longer than any of us anticipated. But today I have great news.
I am happy to announce that we will be starting the final production of the first batch within the next few days.
I recently received the latest prototypes, and they meet every single requirement. The order for a larger production run has been placed.
Unfortunately, we didn’t make it in time to open pre-orders for this year’s Superbooth. An external issue caused yet another delay of over two months, and on top of that, several components became temporarily unavailable. I never imagined things would drag on for this long — had I known, I would have waited to introduce the MAT 16X8 later. But now things are finally moving in the right direction.
Pre-orders will be available through online retailers very soon. As soon as the link goes live, I will send out a dedicated newsletter with all the details.
Superbooth 2026
We won’t have our own booth at Superbooth in Berlin (May 7–9), but I’ll be there in person together with a colleague. You’ll recognise us by our T-shirts — and of course we’ll each have a MAT 16X8 in our pocket.
You can also see the MAT 16X8 in action at the Neuzeit Instruments booth (Z320), where it will be featured together with the Drop Controller and Ableton Live in a live mixing setup.
Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly from here. I’m really looking forward to seeing some of you at Superbooth!
