Hurrah! The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived: The MAT 16X8 is officially available for pre-order worldwide via Thomann!
To be completely honest, the road to this point was longer and more complicated than I ever anticipated. But we made it, and I couldn’t be prouder.
I really wanted to offer it at an even lower price point, but the unexpected, massive development effort combined with rising supplier costs along the way simply didn’t allow for it. However, the extra time was put to excellent use: the MAT 16X8 has already proven its performance and reliability in numerous real-world scenarios. For several of our beta testers, it has already become an indispensable centerpiece of their setups.
A Major Milestone with Thomann
I am absolutely thrilled to have won over Thomann, the world’s largest retailer for music equipment, right from the start. The team there had the opportunity to extensively test the MAT 16X8 themselves and was convinced almost immediately.
New Features & What’s Next
We haven’t just been sitting around waiting, either. The firmware has been expanded so that the MIDI outputs can now be addressed completely independently, expanding your routing possibilities even further.
Looking ahead, updates to future firmware versions will be very easy via a web-based tool. And trust me, I already have a few exciting ideas in mind that go way beyond using it as a pure interface. Stay tuned!
